AGA Stoves launches new Ellesmere family
AGA Stoves has launched the highly impressive Ellesmere family of wood burning stoves. This new range consists of three models which fuse on-trend contemporary styling, such as large flame pictures and clean, elegant lines, with solid performance and excellent reliability – attributes that have become synonymous with the AGA Stoves brand.
The family comprises the Ellesmere 4, Ellesmere 5 and Ellesmere 6, providing homeowners with a choice of sizes and outputs depending on the installation requirements. All models feature a purposeful matt black cast iron frontage housing the classic AGA branding, while an elegant chrome door handle with easy opening mechanism ensures all Ellesmere stoves are a pleasure to use. For additional functionality, a discreet chrome lever beneath the door offers easy control of both the primary and secondary air vents. The stoves are suitable for burning wood or solid fuel and also DEFRA Smoke Exempt approved for use in smoke controlled areas.
Measuring 583mm high and 437mm wide, the Ellesmere 4 is designed for smaller rooms with a nominal output of 4.1kW and efficiencies of 74%. The footprint of the entry model is perfect for smaller fireplaces, yet its large glass window offers an impressive flame picture usually reserved for larger stoves.
The Ellesmere 5 has an output of 4.9kW to maximise heat generation without the need for additional ventilation in a room. It stands 669mm high, has a width of 490mm and depth of 470mm, offering the perfect blend of performance and practicality. At the head of the family is the Ellesmere 6; a stove designed for larger rooms where a higher output is required. With a 6.6kW output, it is highly capable of warming the largest of areas, while sharing the same blend of contemporary and traditional styling as the smaller models in the family, plus the range’s easy to use features.
An additional feature of the Ellesmere stoves is the Active Air Flow System, which carefully channels air below, around and above the firebox to create optimum conditions for combustion and the most efficient use of energy. It also ensures the stoves’ large glass windows remain clean and clear, so homeowners can continually enjoy the impressive flame picture. Finally, all models are designed with a built-in external air system to allow air to come directly from outside the building rather than through a vent into the room – eliminating draughts and adding to the stoves’ overall heating efficiencies.
